SPANISH IN THE U.S.

SOME STATES IN THE UNITED STATES
HAVE NAMES IN SPANISH


MONTANA:  "MONTA�A", mountain.
NEVADA: Snow fall, snowy.
COLORADO: A "sin�nimo" of  "ROJO", red.
FLORIDA: FLORID:  Def. according to Webster Dict. Blooming, flowery, covered with flowers.Florid (flowery, blooming, covered with flowers).

Some other states refer to Spanish too:
New Mexico, Virginia, North and South Carolina.

MANY CITIES IN THE USA HAVE NAMES IN SPANISH TOO:
LOS ANGELES: The city of angels.
EL PASO: The trail, the passage.
SANTA FE: Saint faith
Note:  All names beginning with "SAN or SANTO" mean              "male saint".    Beginning with "SANTA" mean "female               saint".
LAS VEGAS: Refers to fertile land,  low land by the river.
PUEBLO: Town, village, settlement.
BUENA VISTA: Good view, good sight, good panoramic                               view.
